WHAT WE DO

The LEO motto is:

Leadership through Experience and Opportunity:

Leadership - Leos develop skills as organizers, time managers, and motivators of their peers.

Experience - Leos learn the importance of cooperation through the performance of community service.

Opportunity - Membership in a Leo club provides young people with a chance to excel, to develop character traits, and to receive recognition for their contributions to the community.

Through the medium of service work, this (The Leo Motto) is achieved on two levels:

1. Development of Communities: i.e. improving social and spiritual well-being, citizenship, community programmes.
   

2. Development of Individuals: i.e. developing individual abilities, leadership potential, understanding, goodwill and co-operation.

To enable Leos to do these types of projects to the best of their ability, and to help them career-wise, various training courses are held on a monthly basis, including AIDS awareness, Train-the-Trainer and Toastmasters.

Of course to do all the projects we undertake, funds are needed. We are responsible for our own clubs' funding to make us able to run optimally.

In closing, Leos are very special young people. They are young people who have a caring nature, show responsibility, dedication and a passion to serve others not as fortunate as themselves.
